There are 3 groups involved with Dibbinsdale
Us – The Friends of Dibbinsdale. An independant group
The Volunteers – work under the direction of Ste, the Council Ranger. Doing conservation work in the walled garden and in Dibbinsdale
Wirral Tree Wardens – work with Wirral Brough Council Tree Team. Planting, collecting tree seed and growing trees
The Friends of Dibbinsdale aims are to encourage the conservation and protection of the Reserve by developing public interest in its unique habitat and maintaining an excellent and interesting environment where recreation, teaching and training can take place.
Some of the things the Friends do.
Host events in the walled garden, support other users of the walled garden & nature reserve. We create leaflets and trails to highlight the flowers, trees, birds and fungi in Dibbinsdale. We also research into the history of the area. We also investigating the water quality of the Dibbin.
Another important aspect of the Friends is fund raising, this provides money for our activities and we also help to fund some tools & supplies for the Rangers work in Dibbinsdale.
We are very kindly supported by the Charles Brotherton Trust.
